We have been seeing regular questions about gravel bike handle bar setup, numb hands, sore shoulders and discomfort from riding on the hood or drops. Changing to a shorter stem, double wrapping bar tape or padded gloves can provide some respite but will not solve the real problem.

A large proportion of Gravel Riders, attracted to the speed and efficiency of gravel bikes are coming from a background of MTB and I suspect that these are the riders who have the greatest bio-mechanical adjustment requirements to find comfort. 

So what is the cause?

This is a complicated topic to deliver by text alone and we're waiting for photos to make it make sense (but a broken collar bone is holding it up...)
